Spiritual direction happens when someone of wisdom and experience offers regular time and space to reflect on our life journey.
It is also called spiritual accompaniment, soul friendship or spiritual companionship – talking together in confidence about your spiritual journey, prayer and search for God.
It is a ministry of listening, encouragement and focus, as we explore and reflect on the presence of God in the whole of life.

Who are we?
We are a longstanding network of Spiritual directors and companions in and around Birmingham from many different churches.
We are rooted in the Christian tradition, open and welcoming to all who seek accompaniment on their spiritual journey.
The Forum exists to offer mutual support, training and education for its members, in order to develop their gifts, skills, knowledge and insight for their work as spiritual directors and companions.
It runs training courses in spiritual accompaniment and also aims to make more widely known the work and value of spiritual direction and accompaniment.
